He didn't actually admit how much he had lost. I got the feeling from his response that it was a lot more than $300k.

I always enjoy Louis Theroux's stuff and it was great to see him back on the TV last night. Interesting and crazy! Great stuff!

Particularly enjoyed Louis bricking it just before playing Baccarat with his own money

Good show, lots of fun I thought.

enjoyed the show

but didn't particularly feel that the subjects were the 'total losers' that the programme tried to convey

the slot-woman and high-roller could clearly afford their losses

everyone has their vices; be it shopping/television/etc - it's not like they were hurting anyone

and the whole 'wide-eyed innocence' act of Louis is now very tiresome - it seemed he's never walked into a casino before, but considering the amount of time he's lived in the US, it just doesn't add up

Enjoyed last night's show, the levels of addiction on show & denial of said addiction by the addicts was compelling viewing. I've always wanted to go to Vegas & do the whole Casino thing, playing High Stakes Blackjack & Poker, but i'm sure i'd brick it & you'd find me at the nickel & dime tables like the opening of Swingers.

His "'wide-eyed innocence' act" as you put it, really grates on me. I couldn't stand his company for very long and I'm amazed people put up with him. He just comes over as an incredibly patronising tit.

Having said that I still find him very watchable and I enjoy his shows

His innocence act carves up the interviewees, the Americans fall for it quite easily. If it works, why change it?

And for those of you who missed it because of 24, isn't THAT repeated later in the week?

The salesman guy with the goatee just reminded me of that scene from the Simpsons:

"Dealer: 19.
Homer: Hit me!
Dealer: 20.
Homer: Hit me!
Dealer: 21.
Homer: Hit me!
Dealer: 22.
Homer: D'OH!"

episode two is on at 9pm on Sunday night on BBC2 Last Sunday at 11.40pm they had Louis' 'porn star' wierd weekend episode ... i have yet to watch all of that but his 'innocent little kid' routine was much more natural back in those days as he didnt seem to be over playing it
