I think the Sony has a great sound, quite far above its price point but too many unresolved bugs.

Yes the sound is amazing, I wasn't expecting much of an improvement over my older Yamaha amp but it was like a revelation. It's just the bugs that stop me from being able to ever recommend it.

One related question. Which sub £500 AV Receivers with Atmos & 4K passthrough are also compatible with wireless rear speakers? The only one I know is the Yamaha RX V685, which has a musiccast function and so can be used with their Musiccast 50 or 20 as rears.

I am planning that setup for my lounge in Bangalore, India. Yamaha P350 wired speaker set for central and front speakers but the layout will not allow cables to be run for rear speakers. There are power points for wireless speakers, though.
