First time I have seen him and it was amazing...

I was on the pitch about 5 metres behind the pit. The sound was superb, could hear everything and indeed he still has a virus/cold and was clearing his nose every so often! The use of video screens is excellent - showing exactly what is going on.

I understand that others in seated and other areas thought the sound was bad. Certainly wasn't where I was standing. I have done seated before at Wembley and knew not to do it again though.

3 hours 33 mins later with no breaks and yep thats the best gig I have been to by a mile. Everything was perfect. Many fans don't like that he has not playing the entire River album like he did in the US... well didn't bother me and it was just great to get the opportunity to finally see him (and The E-Street Band).

First time for me too on Sunday.

Absolutely loved it and finally understand the love that many have for him and the E Street Band that I never entirely got just from the recorded back catalogue (impressive though it is).

Although I did my research on The River, I'm really glad he played so few tracks from it in lieu of a more eclectic set-list and the random sign requests. Even songs I didn't know at all were welcome and though I was in the seats (Block 125) I found the sound no better or worse than any other stadium gig.

It was another great gig although the sound did seem to drop out a couple of times from where I was sitting. Thought there was a great variety of songs - would have loved "Adam Raised A Cain" though!

Just a heads up to the good folks of the forums that all downloads this evening are half price. Fill yer boots would be my advice. Shows from 84, 88, 90 and the 70's are all perfect as well as the tour stuff recently

Finished the Born To Run autobiography recently and I have to say that it was a thought-provoking and interesting insight. It's not a simple "I did this then I did that" story and neither is it stuffed with anecdotes.

For most of the book it's Springsteen telling us what he was thinking and how he felt about the music that he was making and the things going on in his life at various times. The book is centred on his relationship with his late father and he spends a lot of time talking about his depression and how it has affected his life. Some of his honesty is quite shocking in places.

It's not gloomy, honestly, and I've got to say that the quality of his writing matches that of his songwriting. Highly recommended.

Sounds pleasant enough. From all the interviews, the album sounds like it's going to be a laid back affair.

Excited about the new Josh Ritter album that's out today - I owe you a lot of thanks for tipping me off about him all those years ago. He's one of my favourite artists nowadays.
