Had a quick flick through the pilot it looks like 90210 with Vampires. Will watch it for a episode or two but I think this may come of my list quite quickly.

Oh dear god! As if 'Twilight' and 'Interview with the Vampire' didn't already make vamps boring enough! Pass!
Stick with Buffy, Angel and True Blood for it done right!

High School (with typical pupils that are obviously in their mid 20's) + Teen angst + Vampires.

I'll pass thanks.

It certainly has it's moments, in between long stretches of interminable tedium and dreadful dialogue.
Twlight is just gash (both book and film) and this new show obviously wants to be the tv version.

Twilight... self indulgent pap which will eventually lead to a world war as Obama mentions great works of literature and neglects to mention the Twilight Saga... the EMO Twilight fans will rise up in a frezied blood lust and take teh capital... then the world.

Twilight will be the only series availible to read... other books will be burned at public book burnings!!!

I'm gonna give this a go though lol

Just finished watching the first episode, i think thats about as far as i'll go with it, Lol. Cringe worthy throughout, crap dialogue and even worse effects used - really wasnt expecting anything more from it, but had to at least check it out once .

Of course we should remember that this show is aimed at 12 year old girls who will swoon and get moist over just about anything with moody, broody gay men in the lead.

For a pilot its not bad, though do we really need another broody vampire in love with a human?

Some iffy special effects, a couple of cliche's, one especially that would annoy Joss Whedon but there's enough there that I'm going to give it a couple more episodes.

Vampire Diairies drew an impressive 4.91 million viewers in its debut last night, making it The CW’s most-watched premiere ever (even beating 90210 last year). Among females 18-34 (a.k.a. The CW’s sweet spot), it notched a strong 3.1 rating.
