"Kundun" & "Mimic" R2 anamorphic?

I didn't even know these had been released!
R1s are both non-anamorphic and BV usually release UK R2 versions with anamorphic pic - can anyone confirm please?

Got my copy of Mimic in the post today and I can confirm that it's anamorphic 1.85:1 with a Dolby 5.1 soundtrack. Looks and sounds pretty good. You can get a pretty decent deal on both titles at www.splashdvd.com by the way.

Is Mimic any good? I've been put off by the IMDb score of 5.6 and some negative reviews.

(Mimic) Lovely - now that I now it's anamorphic and 5.1, my order has gone in at Splash. Yes, a VERY nice price!

I didn't mind Mimic, not fantastic, but enjoyable and the lovely Mira Sorvino is worth a purchase alone.

Unlike the R1 version the R2 DVD is anamorphic, but why they didn't put that on the cover is rather strange.

Mimic has a good premise and a so-so screenplay, but Guillermo Del Toro's (The Devils Backbone, Blade II) ultra stylish direction lifts it out of the ordinary. The scene with Mira Sorvino in the NY subway station is one of the great moments in horror cinema of the last 20 years. It's a well above average monster movie and rather underrated.
