Coherence is on Prime, a solid little sci-fi that is worth a watch.

I don't think it is. Justwatch are listing it, but it's not included with Prime as far as I can see.

On the topic of Justwatch, it's good to see they've sorted whatever issue they had with Prime Video updates (the odd error aside, such as The Day Shall Come and today they're listing Mr. Mercedes Season 1 which links through to something called Caribbean Island Living St. Croix USVI).

Their Netflix reporting is still lacking though.

Yeah the wife and I watched the whole series. It was ok but I can’t rave about it. It’s quite slow but thought provoking and very well filmed. I’d suggest giving it a go and see what you think.

NBC’s Hannibal Finally Coming to Netflix USA

Some of the best TV ever. So much psychology on show, beautifully shot, buckets of tension, superb atmosphere. Think Dexter meets the 'Silence of the Lambs' film (and like the film, plenty horrific things happen but it's not over-gory). [Forum's 24-page thread]).

Watch it, tell your friends about it, then we will get a Netflix-produced S4 ! (IIRC, S3 starts weird and arty, but then gets much better till the end (stay till after the credits).

The first half of S3 must be the most bonkers thing to ever appear in a show on a national network in the US.

Amazon Prime's insistence on hiding 4K content remains a sore subject in my household.

Haven't noticed any issues on Netflix though.

We've been watching The Last Dance on Netflix. Docuseries about the Chicago Bulls in the Michael Jordan era. Never been into basketball, but it's been a fascinating watch.

Fascinating is indeed the word. It’s a great character study of all the main players...Jordan, Krause, Pippen, Rodman, Reinsdorf, Kerr etc. The personal stories about his security guys, his father and kerr’s father really add and bring interest to it.

I gather that Jordan retained some editorial control so could assume that some of his less pleasant traits were watered down, but nonetheless it’s brilliant.

I’m enjoying the Bob’s Burgers-esque ‘Central Park’ on Appletv+

It all seems very ‘jazz hands’ musically but there some decent humour in there for me to keep tuning in.

Also, another vote for The Last Dance. It took me back to my last years of high school when me and my chums would chat about NBA Raw that was on channel Four, whilst lobbing my black and red Michael Jordan endorsed basketball bought fresh from Argos. Ah the glory days!!

Struggled through the first 2 episodes of this, mainly because it's from the team behind Bob's Burgers & Kristen Bell's in it. There's a few laughs there, but wayyyy too much singing, most of which is kinda terrible.

Perhaps if I'd known it was a musical before going in I'd have had different expectations. (it also irritated me that the family didn't take to $50k reward in the first episode)

Not for me.

Just finished watching Extraction. Took me 3 sittings to get through it.

It was OK but the action pieces and shooting novelty wore off within 30mins and it was a bit of a chore in the end to finish.

I actually gave up at the beginning of Season 3. It got too weird for me. First two seasons were amazing though.

We watched Killer Elite on Amazon Prime so you don't have to.

Sat down to watch The Prestige last night after Amazon Prime added it last week.

Quickly discovered not only was it only in stereo but they'd cropped the film to make it 1.85:1! Worse still the video quality looked like it was SD. So I got out my old region 3 dvd version and put that on. Got proper 5.1 sound, proper aspect ratio and video quality was as good as AP's supposed HD version.

Pretty shocked this kind of mistake, or worse still, cheap way of adding titles is still going on. Feels like back in the way when we were complaining on here of DVD's coming out with shoddy transfers when other countries had decent ones.

Quality control on Amazon Prime can be quite poor. I remember I wanted to watch Source Code a while back and started watching it on Amazon. It looked awful, far too dark (black crush?), and it was only in Stereo. Also it has an 89min running time which is the PAL Speed Up running time.

Subtitles on foreign films are also a big problem. I tried to watch the Hideo Nakata film The Complex only to find there were no subtitles at all. It's no longer on Prime, but the reviews are still there mentioning the lack of subs.

The other common issue with Asian films I've tried to watch is they have out of sync subtitles (either from the off, or they gradually go out of sync).
