The situation worsened when some knob suggested having a dedicated sub forum.

I came clean about my addiction this evening to my wife. I had to confess to being the recipient over the next few days of several Amazon boxes. Got into lots of trouble.

Thankfully I missed your post

It would have been yet another game to add to the 'unplayed but too cheap to ignore' pile

Didn't you try the "they're not all for me, look this one was meant to be a surprise for you" trick?

On your desk? Are you one of those wimps that has stuff delivered to work so they can sneak it into the house later and pretend it's been on the shelf for ages?

LOL. I confessed to the wife this eve and even talked her into a quick round of Pairs. Simple and fun. Enjoyed it. Looking forward to playing with more over Xmas 😊

I just got the camelcamelcamel email for that. Within a few p of the cheapest it's ever been, but still seems rich after the £15-£20 lightning deals I've got used to

Thanks...I've always promised myself a copy of this once it dropped below £50, and I've just flubited it, and hopefully it'll come back with a £47-£48 offer...

Fingers crossed

It said only four copies left so I bit the bullet and went for it. Not a bad price considering it includes the 1910 expansion.
