Sherlock Holmes (Guy Ritchie)

Surprised I didn't find a thread for this already ...

Saw this yesterday and thought it was actually pretty good - and that is after I vowed never to watch another Guy Ritchie film after Revolver. The plot is good, the setting good, its not over-camp like some of those God-awful remakes, strikes the comedy level just right and Robert Downey Jnr is excellent. I'm thinking this will be a big hit both sides of the Atlantic. Just goes to show that when Guy Ritchie passes over the writing reins, he can actually focus properly on his directing.

Nice cameo by "The Punchbowl" too !
