Zodiac - Directors Cut

Anyone got this?

Was the HD-DVD version also the directors cut?

Not sure if it's worth watching if I have already seen the HD-DVD version?

I do want to pick this up, it's one of the best films of 2007.
Bit pricey at the moment though.

I think the only difference from the HD DVD is the sound upgrade from Dolby Digital to Dolby TrueHD.

There are two versions of this movie on blue ray.

A single disc International Version
A Double Disk US version.

The bit rate of the US version is nearly double the international version.

I was going to sell my HD-DVD copy but then I read that DNR had been applied to the Blu-Ray disc so I held off.

Where did you hear that?
I've read nothing but glowing reviews for the PQ.

Just got the new TrueHD DC through from PlayUSA - £15.99 which seemed to be the cheapest I could find it; for people who are bothered by it, there's no French writing on the cover either.

Never seen the film before, so looking forward to it

Enjoy.
(and if somehow you don't like it, or don't feel compelled to keep it, I'll take it off your hands for a fair price )

Watched this last night.

I have the UK edition that as far as I'm aware is only in the director's cut. If you already own the film, other than the benefits of a nicer picture on Blu-ray (and by that I'm not talking referrence worthy, but acceptable none the less) there is not much difference between the two cuts that I could tell. The commentary would probably further enlighten us I presume.

Lots of extras on the single Blu-ray tjhat covers behind the scenes and the real-0life case itself with interviews with surviving wintesses and police. 2 commentaries with one from David Fincher and the producer, and another from key members of the cast. This is a VC-1 disc, with no picture-in-picture or BD-Live features, and the soundtrack is (from what I can tell) Dolby Digital 5.1.

Great film regardless and my favourite of what I watched at last year.

Craig.

Well it looks like I watched the HD-DVD directors cut so won't bother with the bluray version.

Thanks for your input guys.

How come the image at both amazon and play show the cover as saying 2 disc director's cut??

Dunno.. just a mistake prolly.

Mine is the 1 disc version from play and says 'director's cut' on the cover in the same font as the text in that image.

Do you mean audio bitrate or video?
