Had my eye on Polanski's back catalogue for a while and figured lockdown would be a good time to try and plough though it. Hunted around and decided to go for the full catalogue box - polish release. It contains everything except his latest J'Accuse.
Big 12'' box - very sturdy cardboard - similar to the size of the Clint Eastwood box.
Lovely half size book inside (unfortunately all in polish) - lots of great pictures.
Discs are all on holders on the pages of the main large book.
Each disc (at least the ones I have tried, give you the option to watch the 'polish version' or the 'english version'. All are original languages with either polish or english subtitles (if applicable) basically.
Region B
Frantic appears to be the US disc with new disc art (corrected version) as it doesn't load with the 'polanski' branded menu that the others do..
Chinatown is bespoke with no extras.
Apart from those 2, the only other titles I owned were The Ghost Writer and the incorrect Bitter Moon on BR from Kino Lorber so a good upgrade to my other copies.
And it includes 'A Memoir' in HD rather than buying the ridiculously expensive stand alone release.
It's expensive but I very much doubt there will ever be another such complete set of his work in HD....
Cost about £360 shipped to me in the UK from DVDmax.pl
