Going to watch Buffy and Angel - any particular order?
I'll soon start my Marathon viewing of Buffy and Angel having never seen either, is there any particular order I should fit them together or is it not such a big deal?
Thanks in advance.

Yep, ideally buffy seasons 1-3, then alternate an episode of buffy with an episode of angel.
Of course that'd be quite a lot of fannying about swapping disks, and to be honest the crossovers are never too integral to either show.

I find it more satisfying to alternate season (beginning with Buffy 4/Angel 1) rather than alternating episodes. Angel especially becomes so serialised that I think breaking it up with episodes of Buffy takes away from the show.

I'd watch season 1-3 of Buffy.. then alternate discs rather than episodes, none of the aforementioned fannying around and that would be close enough for the cross overs.

^ this. Although Angel is *so* good from S2 that you'll be wanting to double up on the Angel discs

You're one of the lucky ones, about to watch one of the best programmes ever made. I hope some day they csn erase specific memories so I can watch these things with fresh eyes

You may want to alternate episodes for Buffy s7 and Angel s4 as they tie more closely together towards the end...
It's funny that some of the weaker Buffy seasons (arguably 4 and 6) are compensated by killer Angel seasons (1 and 3) - and vice versa (Buffy 7, Angel 4).
They've all got great moments though!

I like season 4. It has some of the show's best episodes in it. Hush for example. The beginning of season 7 is much weaker than season 4.
I've been meaning to get the complete Angel set on DVD. Want to get that before I watch Buffy again. It's been 3 or 4 years since I've watched them all, used to watch them a lot. So I've never done a proper Buffy-Angel complete run aside from when it was on TV originally.

i;m enjoying rewatching buffy season 7 on fx sunday mornings. it ends next week, not sure what they will replace it with. Angel season 5 would be ace, i loved that season of the show far more than the earlier ones.

I'm still doing the marathon rewatch thing at the moment and I agree with this, I used to hate S4 but there are so many great episodes, series 6 and 7 are far weaker.

I think I posted a similar thread years ago, and I still haven't got around to watching either series. My complete boxsets are still brand spanking new.

FX are permanently showing seasons 4-7 of Buffy on Saturday & Sunday mornings. Sci-Fi seem to be showing seasons 1-3 in heavy rotation.
Enjoy your watch White Line

Seeing this thread also makes me want to rewatch Buffy/Angel.
I think I'll suggest it to the wife as she has never seen either (apart from when shes been in the room when I'm watching) and she loves Twilight / True Blood (I know they are all very different)

I actually began a Buffy rewatch a couple of weeks ago, but didn't get very far. This thread's encouraged me to go back to it <3

I used to be a massive Buffy fan (well seasons 1 - 3 anyway) but I tried to watch an episode of Buffy on the Sci Fi channel and it just didn't hold any interest for me ... Think I'd still be interested in a Faith movie or 5 part Mini series that would be good

I've been thinking about doing this soon too - my missus has seen all of them at the first airing, but I've never seen a single episode of either.

I need to do a major rewatch. although personally I always prefered the Angel tv show.
Problem is fitting in the time.
