Blimey. I was just questioning apostle’s post as if the young person was supposed to be non binary I’d have expected much less use of she pronouns. Or at least a passing “i go by they” mention.

I know - my post was more a comment on the claim the character was non-binary (which I had presumed was based on the episode itself rather than on the link zantarous posted)
But having read that link, it does seem a bit odd that Blu del Barrio is happy playing a character who is clearly referenced multiple times already as "she".
Well I carried on watching against my better judgment.
First*episode was terrible.*
Second episode was really good.*
Third episode was decent once it got past the "Burnham is back!" simpering at the start.*
Loads of Burnham cry face so far. The show is so much better when she's not in it and over-emoting to every conversation.*
Just done the 3, it really is a mess this show, I just can't get on with it at all.
There is just so much going on now and so many character strands that i just can't be arsed, its a huge convoluted mess that needs someone to seriously tidy up. Kill off 50% of the cast and write stand alone stories with a tidy arc and it might stand a chance.

her being so emotional is strange. has there ever been a human character (which wasn't insane) that was ever remotely as emotional as her?
plus she should have more emotional control due to being raised by vulcans surely?

As Cartman once said, it was a big bunch of hippie ****.
Still, it was fun when they went into Heff's Grotto at the Playboy Mansion, then got into the Minority Report pool, dropped into The Sunken Place & then wandered about a bit in Thirteen's Black Room from Stranger Things.
& until the vague explanation at he end, I thought Saru was going nuts & hearing voices when the computer told him to have a dinner party.
It is starting to feel more like Star Trek though - go to a different planet each week, get in trouble with the locals, find a resolution, boldly go on...
Something I get the feeling about is Burnam telling Saru she's not worth and he should be the boss from now on. Which is nice of her.
Though It feel like she's saying you are in charge, until you decide something I don't agree with, in which case I'm going to totally ignore you and do what I want anyway.
That would be horrid in a real life job, with someone telling you, you are in charge, and then overruling you whenever they don't agree.
Wow, what a shocking surprise and completely in-line with what I said in my last post.
Saru in charge, Tells Burnham not to do something, she does not agree so does it anyway.
As per every single time, it all goes wonderfully (funny that)
And she's been told off a bit (till next time)
Shame as I had hoped at the very start of this latest episode, things were looking very interesting, and we were not going to fall back to that tired routine once more.
