They couldn't do much with the $millions of dollars and time available in the seasons they have already done, to expect them to be able to put together 7 minutes of quality entertainment with the left overs they had is folly.

There have been two trailers and a teaser so far. Although to be fair I see no one has posted them in this thread.

https://tvline.com/2020/05/15/star-t...ck-number-one/
CBS All Access has ordered Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, a spinoff with stars Anson Mount, Ethan Peck and Rebecca Romijn reprising their Discovery roles as Captain Pike, Spock and Number One, TVLine has learned. The series will follow the trio “in the decade before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy,” per the official description.
Discovery and Star Trek: Picard executive producer Akiva Goldsman will pen the series premiere from a story by him and his Discovery and Picard colleagues Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet. Strange New Worlds becomes the fifth Trek series at CBS All Access, following Discovery, Picard, upcoming animated offshoot Star Trek: Lower Decks and a spinoff starring Michelle Yeoh as Discovery‘s Philippa Georgiou that is currently in development.
Mount (Hell on Wheels), Peck (Penny Dreadful: City of Angels) and Romijn (Ugly Betty) debuted as Pike, Spock and Number One on Season 2 of Discovery, which aired last year on CBS All Access. (All three characters were first introduced on the original 1966-69 Star Trek series.) Fans clamored for them to continue, but Season 2 ended with Burnham and the Discovery crew traveling a thousand years into the future and leaving the rest behind. (Season 3 of Discovery is set to premiere later this year.)
“Fans fell in love with Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck’s portrayals of these iconic characters when they were first introduced on Star Trek: Discovery last season,” CBS All Access executive vice president and head of programming Julie McNamara said in a statement. “This new series will be a perfect complement to the franchise, bringing a whole new perspective and series of adventures to Star Trek.”

Note to the producers - enough with bashing Trump and his supporters (we get it that you don't like him) I want to be entertained. No more series long arcs - you are not good at it; mini arcs like Enterprise season 4 fine. Put spock back in the beard or change the hair Peck looked better with the beard. No more showing present time issues in the future, humanity must have moved on from sexism and racisim by then and its just lazy writing. Hire some sci-fi writers and ditch the afternoon drama show crap.

I like Pike and number one in s2 of std. The problem is the writers, and the show producers like the Picard one, rude and insulting talentless hack - admits he wants to "to ***** off fans" and nothing will change in s2 of "star dreck picket"
there has been a history of making the male characters look like really weak and stupid idiots to prop up the badly written female characters a lot of the time (which is usually trick also in other shows and film). the admirals in star dreck picket were awful
also they take what is unique show and changing into something else to suit the writers needs because if they did their own show without the ST name it would die so quickly. You see this in other shows/films like Dr who, star wars, computer games etc etc
I hope this new show is going to be good but hope its more fun and entertaining show what has been **** out with STD and Picard

Lower Decks trailer has leaked, watch it before it gets pulled

So very Final Space-y, I can’t be the only one wondering how they get to the engineering hull?

Think about what would happen if a Holodeck was real? You know it, I know it and now we know who cleans it.

As they have replicators I've alwasy just assumed they've got nanobots that can alter and create things at a cellular level, and that the same technology would be used in the holodeck to remove any waste.
