It's really just two cuts. I'll explain.
1: Theatrical Cut
2: US extended television cut (extra 40 mins) but as it was put together for TV, the violence and swearing are censored.
3: US extended television cut but the swearing and violence has been restored.
I'm getting this day one. I love the film and I really can't wait to watch the feature-length making-of documentary. Considering the hassle during filming such as one of the smaller sets sinking and Kevin Costner kicking the director Kevin Reynolds out of the editing suite, There must be more great stories to tell.
In the meantime, you could check out this three-part article I put together a few years ago. #ShamelessPlug

I've been checking the BBFC website to see if I can discover how long the feature length documentary will be in this set.
Unfortunately, its not appeared yet but the two extended cuts have. I thought they're leaving this a bit late and then I got the email from amazon.
The set has been delayed till Jan 21st.

Mine arrived yesterday but will probably watch the film first. People over on the bluray.com forums have watched it though and said it was great.

Had a quick flick through the theatrical version last night, certainly looks very filmic with grain and good detail.

The picture quality is certainly impressive, I've only owned the old DVD before so I don't know how it compares to the BD Universal released.
The making of documentary was very good with lots of behind the scenes pictures and information I'd never seen or heard before. It's very much a talking head documentary as all the behind-the-scenes footage available seems to be taken from an archival ten-minute promotional featurette that is also on the disc.
Overall I'm really impressed with this set, including the 64-page book that also has a lot of great info in it.
I'm glad I finally have an HD copy of the Ulysses cut, so now I can retire a fan edit 2 DVD set that acquired of the net many many years ago.

Completely sold out at Arrow, but there seems to be some copies left at various online retailers. Expect loads to turn up on ebay soon.
I really should have jumped on the £18.99 pre-order deal the Entertainment Store had it for last month...

Tell me about it. I've put an order in with Amazon so fingers crossed. I spotted it in the shop at BFI Southbank last night but it was £40.

Quality presentation this! Have not seen it for years so watched the theatrical version firstly, really enjoyed it more so that I remembered. Documentary is great too, albeit san any contemporary Costner input. However the real jewel in this set is the Ulysses Cut.
It was like a whole different movie!

I've only watched the theatrical cut so far, no idea why this film has the reputation it does as it's a great film, even more impressive when you realise what went into making it.
