They are putting the price up to £79.99 in Feb... a month before all of the initial renewal dates will kick in. I guess existing subscribers might get an offer but no one really knows and, if they do, I guess it will be at £59.99

Just to confirm my own guess. Disney have confirmed that existing subscribers will keep the current price until August so all those, like me, who signed up at the start will get to renew at £59.99

We watched all of Cobra Kai S3 over 2 nights! It was awesome! Yes it’s cheesy at times, but it’s also very funny! Anyone of a certain age who remembers the films will love it! I had a big cheesy grin on my face for most of it and even clapped at the end! Just perfectly fabulous!

Cobra Kai is just so silly, cheesy and ridiculously over the top nonsense. I seriously can't wait for S4, it's just so much fun to watch.

I just signed up more on anticipation of the new stuff coming, the current catalogue does nothing for me. I already have the whole MCU on 4k discs.

That's a lot of stuff that's currently on Amazon Prime... (Lost, Buffy, Homeland, AHS, Bobs Burgers, Greys Anatomy... etc etc... ) wonder if that's going to disappear from Amazon..

Disney have been fairly good at getting things into 4K, will be interesting to see if they do it with this stuff.

Fox have done virtually nothing with Buffy for the last 20 years. Be nice if Disney could scan the film assets and remaster it.

Buffy is in HD on Amazon, albeit with some issues in earlier seasons.

I am one of these really unobservent people who managed to block out all the mastering issues and really enjoyed my rewatch in 2018. It was great to see the show in HD, there are some framing issues in season 1 that are really obvious but other then then that I was so into the show I missed all the things with colour filters and things outside the 4:3 frame.

Just watched Saint Frances, enjoyed it. Here's another tip for a good low-key comedy-drama if you haven't already seen it: Paddleton. It's on Netflix and is very good, don't think it's really been discussed on here.

What (if any) 4K stuff is on Disney+?
I can see my TV has the app, and looking at the list above, it might be worth making the jump with a year's sub. But it would be good to know what I'm walking into.
Also, is 4K searchable, as in is it better than the woeful Prime menus where everything is hidden away?

I don't think it's searchable but lots of stuff is in 4K and Atmos. All the MCU stuff, Star Wars and I think a fair bit of Pixar as well. The real test will be all this new Fox stuff. I'd expect HD for that though.

I assumed that was Buffy the film on Disney+ rather than the TV series. No mention of Angel being on it.

There is a huge amount of 4k content. Everything is precisely labelled when you click onto the movie or programme.
It's also device specific. So, if, for example, you have Apple TV and a non Atmos soundbar you (probably) won't see Atmos listed. If you do it's all there, along with a lot of Dolby Vision content too.
It's a ridiculously good service.

I've only watched Mando Season 2 on there so far (sod all else I'm interested in tbh but that's a personal thing). It does seem like a good app, but I was surprised to find they don't pass DD5.1 via Optical out (at least on my Android TV, and from searching around that's standard, they only pass it via HDMI).

You can split out hdmi to optical. Buy a little dohicky from Amazon..
Agree on the quality of Disney+... Video and audio quality in 4k HDR and Atmos is very good. No dropouts or connection throttling either.
