Dark Waters (Mark Ruffalo) drama is now Prime, in 4K, too.

Outstanding film and well worth your time.

Wactehd the first ep of Truth seekers, although I found it disjointed in the beginning, it was missing 'something' thought it got very good with the horror vibe at the end of the ep.

One thing it lacks is chemistry between the leads, at least going by first ep, anyone know why they didn't do the obvious and give us Pegg as a lead, I am guessing because he's too busy with his hollywood career these days, but as a co-writer and prodcuer you think he might have been interested in co-starring to make sure it was good. Suppose it'd be awkward to film around Mission Impossible and Star Trek films though

It does get better after a few episodes, and the chemistry between the main actors does get there and its worth it in the end. I found it silly but one of those series where I just wanted to see what happens next, I enjoyed it for what it was.

I saw that Doctor Sleep is on NowTV and is listed as the Director's Cut but when I checked it didn't seem to be - only 2.5hrs, rather than 3hrs.

I have the DC on blu-ray but just in case anyone else was watching this for the first time and wanted to watch the DC.

They did something like this with 1917.

It's like they're doing an unannounced time limited promotion. It's bizarre.

I watched inheritance last night on Netflix

It was a tad cheesy but I enjoyed it! New York looking as lovely as ever!

We watched that last night too! It had an old fashioned feel about it, but thought the acting was pretty good! Miss Collins did a decent job so went up in my opinion of her compared to some of her earlier efforts!
Simon Pegg was great as usual!
You’re right about it being a bit cheesy and it was a plot with a few holes in it but pretty entertaining for a Saturday night!

Thanks to all those that recommended the Queen's Gambit, on the trailer I passed on this show. But with all the good word of mouth I have it ago and have enjoyed it immensely. Will be watching the final episode this evening.

You’re welcome! Glad you liked it! It certainly is different and the subject matter will put many people off. It’s really worth the time and effort though!

Prospect (2018) - Refreshingly original sci-fi that kept me hooked throughout. It's not amazing but well worth watching and definitely worth the £2 rental on Amazon Prime.

Started Queens Gambit last night and enjoyed it so much, watched the first 3 eps.

MADe me think there was another chess based story long ago, Fresh in 1994 with Samuel L Jackson it seems, looks like its on prime. Wouldn't mind rewatchnig that, remember it being very good, and all I remember is the young lead playing chess in the park at the beginning

I liked that a lot, and thanks for reminding me I bought the 4k disc and haven't watched it yet. Have shunted it further up the watch pile.

Searching For Bobby Fischer is another great chess film. No idea if it's available to stream anywhere, but it's well worth seeking out if you haven't seen it.

IIRC it's called Innocent Moves in the UK so that might be what you need to search for.

EDIT: Great movie BTW, and mostly true.
