Only a teaser for a game not due 'til probably 2015 but, as a huge fan of R.Talsorian's Cyberpunk RPG from my yoof, this has me hugely excited!!

I don't know anything about the source material, but these guys know how to do storytelling and RPGs properly, so I'm in.

More importantly, there's a hidden message in the trailer that seems to confirm
The Witcher 3 will be announced in february.

For real indeed. The announcement that is. No idea when it'll be released, but we'll find out soon...

Looks more colourful and vibrant than I had expected - I'm quite impressed. It actually gives me a bit of a GTA trailer vibe, but I know that gameplay-wise it'll be nothing like that. A proper single-player RPG to look forward to

How old is this thread?
Looked good from the trailer I saw this morning, but not sure about gameplay, sort of seemed a little GTA to me as well

"An alternative version of the future where America is in pieces, megacorporations control all aspects of civilised life, and gangs rule the rest. And, while this world is full of adrenaline, don't let the car chases and guns mislead you. Cyberpunk 2077 is a true single player, story-driven RPG. You'll be able to create your own character and..., well, you'll get to know the rest from what we show at our booth at E3."

Confirmed as a first-person RPG.
Customisable player character (male or female) who will be fully voiced.

I believe it was confirmed back in 2013 that it would be a hybrid first and third person perspective RPG.
Edit: after just watching an interview yes it is just first person perspective now.

Yeah I remember some fan rumblings about this back when Cyberpunk was first announced, theorising that she could well have an easter egg cameo in the game.

Just saw a news video and the game director is against having Ciri cameo, which is fair enough

I really don't understand the negative reaction by some because this is in first person perspective (mostly). The most obvious reason, that for some reason goes right over peoples' heads, is that your character will have augments some of which are to your vision so it would make no sense to be able to see yourself in third person through that augmented reality.

Considering how poorly CDProjekt have implemented 3rd person physics throughout the Witcher series you'd think the fans would welcome the switch TBH.

I've not really looked into this game yet but generally speaking I will get on vastly better with a third person game than a first person one. I imagine it's not just CD Projekt changing their style - not everybody likes both perspectives.
