A fair result I'd say. For all our trickery around the box, we were just missing somebody to finish a move off. We've done pretty well in Aguero's absense, but we'll need a more conventional set-up for the upcoming games.
At first I was disappointed that Joe Hart didn't do better for the Everton goal; but when you watch it, the cross from Baines was perfect and so was Naismith's timing, so not too many complaints there.

I get Utd's 2 Brazilian players mixed up... Not sure whether that makes me a racist.

I thought we did enough to win, and do blame Hart for the goal (if you come for that you can't be beaten by the cross), but still can admit a draw was a fair result - Everton have been hugely under performing, today was much more like what they are capable of.
Happy enough with a point from that one.
Looks like Bony is inching closer to signing with reports of an agreed fee - Ł27m, not sure if that's all upfront or not. Wonder if we will delay until after Ivory Coast's AFCON/end of the window (whichever is sooner) - would look pretty stupid if we paid up and then he breaks his leg or something out there? If they make the final we'll have to take the risk...
Interesting rumours of Jovetic to Juve, Lacazette to City, possibly in this window. I am a Jovetic fan, but would take that. Lacazette is more of an out and out striker, whereas Jovetic can't get a look in in his best position because of Silva (how good was he today??) and Nasri.
If we could get that done, and address the Navas being **** issue (Mancini was right about him sadly - cannot hit a barn door) I think we're set. Until Yaya retires at least. We could then focus on just bringing in the odd truly great player as the squad is immense.

From what I have seen of Bony is that he will be the perfect partner for Sergio Agüero, which can only be good news for us blues

Think it's a pretty smart bit of work by City (to counter balance the stupid decision to let Negredo leave without replacement) - gives everyone a lift at a crucial time, agree he is potentially a perfect partner for Sergio, and just as importantly, it vastly reduces the chances of all of our decent strikers being injured at the same time again. Obviously it can happen, but no one can avoid that.
Champions League eligible too. Interested to see who we leave out - will they be tempted to go with Hart and Wright as keepers and leave Caballero out?
I still remember Bony giving Kompany as tough a time as I've seen anyone give him when we played them last year. Nice to have him on our side now.

I was wondering who we'd leave out of the CL too and I think using Wright as Number 2 would be the smartest move.
Pellegrini says he is looking forward to seeing our 4 strikers together, but I wonder if Jovetic or Dzeko will be leaving in the summer?

I'm hoping we don't drop below four strikers capable of playing in any game.
That said, I could cope with Aguero and Bony as our main strikers with a couple of younger lads putting pressure on them for game time. If we moved on Dzeko and Jovetic hopefully we'd go for Lacazette or Dybala in the summer, and leave the fourth spot for Iheanacho or Cole.
Should turn a profit on that too, for all those who get frothed up about FFP

Our under 18's side beat Coventry 8-2 last night in the youth FA cup.

Brandon Barker is starting to look like quite a prospect.

Penalty or not, I can't complain about the result. Shocking 1st half.

Yes, totally out thought and outplayed today. Arsenal were set up very well and fully deserved the 3 points. I thought it was a penalty, Kompany stepped across into the path of Monreal so I don't know why he was complaining so much.
So we'll have to rein in Chelsea all over again; beating them at Stamford Bridge looks like a priority now.

Just one of those games. Looks like we had enough chances to take a good lead at half time and a couple of decent shouts for a penalty. Credit to Middlesbrough - Karanka's doing a fine job there and we'll probably see them in the Premier League next season.
We really need a result against Chelsea now to get back on track.

Happy with that. A really solid performance and we'd have won on a day where Aguero was at his best. Milner and Fernandinho were excellent today. However, I think that we need a specialist corner taking coach because we continue to create nothing from our large number of corners.
Chelsea in a strong position, but a 5 point gap is more than do-able for us.
