Steve, I think both Carcassonne and Agricola are sat with you (at least that's what it's telling me) - not sure if the notifications are working?

Yeah, sorry. I have notifications turned off at work. It's been a while since I last tried Agricola and I haven't got a clue what I'm doing or the time to try and learn again at the moment so I'm just going through the motions and picking random actions. Kind of the same with the gingerbread expansion for Carcassonne, I have no idea what he does and how the bonus scoring works.

Sorry about this but I've quit. The game just isn't for me.

Never mind. I expect it's easier playing in real time as otherwise it's quite slow moving. Looks like the game might play for you now anyway, so I'm happy to continue with you, Torf

Ah good. I can't get out of Carcassonne though because it told me the game will end if I quit. It just started when I opened the app after the invite and didn't give me the usual option to decline!

Sorry dude. I'm still in a very pro-Carcassonne phase at the moment, and can't get enough of it! Probably because it's my first time playing with a lot of the expansions.

Re Agricola, I found that doing the tutorial, then reading the manual, then re-doing the tutorial helped. Though I'm still learning as I play.

I've given up trying to get Agricola. I think I've been trying too hard to like it when truth is it isn't for me. I tried Waterdeep again at the weekend, played through the tutorial, got a good understanding of the rules, but didn't enoy playing it. I think I just hate worker placement games.
Sorry about Carcassonne by the way. I wanted to decline the invite but the game decided to just start and I really don't want to play it at the moment. It's a great game and an awesome port but I've played it so much that I almost can't stand the sight of it. I tried to quit but it said the game will then end for everyone so I'm just sticking pieces anywhere so as to not hold everyone else up.

IOS asynchronous games thread
Sorry you're not enhoying it. Thanks did the consideration, I did wonder if that was the case as you haven't been placing followers.
If/when your enthusiasm for it returns, we'll be here I'm sure!
If you would like another game of TTR by the way, I'm up for that.

I'm happy to play but I don't have all the Carcassonne expansions. Don't mind buying the odd one, but not all of them just yet
I have winter and double tiles at the mo.

Enjoyed that game of Agricola Torf, cheers. Even if you did show me I need some practice!
I'm up for a rematch sometime if you are. Maybe not immediately though!

Yep, good game, thanks.
Give the solo series a try and drop me an invite when you fancy another.

Seem to be getting the hang of Agricola now - I'll send an invite for a rematch, Torf!
