[PC] Divinity: Original Sin. Co-op, turn based RPG now out!
It's been a long time since the Kickstarter but D:OS (already mentioned in the "turn based" games thread in this forum) is now out.
You can play it single player directing the 2 characters in the adventure, have a friend or a stranger drop in for co-op multiplayer or let the AI handle the second character. The 2 characters can act independently and can even argue about how to respond to NPC's.
Finally, the game comes with a fully featured editor toolset which lets you edit or create your own adventures for 1 to 4 players. Pretty neat.
Here is the features trailer:
And the release announcement:
I'm really looking forward to giving this one a try in co-op mode.

Awesome game. There's been a fair bit of chat about it in the TBS and Steam threads whilst its been in early access. It's 20% off the next two hours as part of the summer sale btw.

Thanks for the added info, Target. For those who enjoy RPG's, I think this is going to be a superb game.
If you want to see it in action, EG is streaming a play session on Twitch with Larian's boss in 45 minutes: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...in-live-stream

Ooh, I've only just become aware of this game's existance. Looks interesting, but a couple of questions:
1) would you benefit more from knowledge of the previous Divinity games?
2) is this particularly story-based? I have resolved now to only play games with strong narratives, otherwise I'm bored!
Thanks.

1) No
2) I don't know what the story is like yet but there's plenty of talking to people

Yes. Don't do that! You want to do it in the steam trading system for safety. And you should be able to get it way under 20. You should be able to do 9 keys ~ £13
I refer you to the guide I wrote last time you asked
http://forums.thedigitalfix.com/foru...&postcount=497
Guess you never got around to trying it?
Grab me in Steam chat if you need help.

Heh. No worries. I just knew I had written a guide before and when I found it in search was bemused is all. Takes a few goes to get used to getting games that way. It saves being annoyed by the inevitable sale months after release though when you got it that cheap anyway.

£14 from cddiski. Ive got stuff from them before and never had a problem, only when i brought something region locked i had to fiddle with it.
I really want this but ive got Watchdogs, Kingdoms of Amalur and Baldurs Gate II Enhanced to get through. I dont think i need another life stealing RPG!

A little late now but stock up the last day of sales is your best bet. You'll be able to get them in the £1.20's as all the traders offload stock to get funds to buy people all the stuff that never got a daily during the encore.
Failing that, there are a variety of people who will sell you them in bulk at a discount on steamtrades and other places but you add an element of risk in that you cannot trade concurrently as with the steam trading system. So make sure you pick someone with high rep.

To an extent I spose it depends whether you have any Steam credit left from the summer sale too. Seems a shame to spend real money if you do.
