No thanks, £45 is a lot for exactly the same game as I already have in my 360 collection.

The "ready to play before fully downloaded" thing is good but its still not great for those like me who if lucky can get 4mb connection currently
I think along with being cheaper than retail the downloadable game needs to be able to be downloaded from at least 3 to 4 days before (with just the last 1gb or so) coming on launch day so we can all get to play on day 1

Don't get me wrong, if I hadn't already got it, I would be jumping at this (parden the pun), as I love that game, with mixture of puzzles (not that difficult), combat and platforming and the story is quite good too.
If you haven't played it, you're in for a treat.

I got bored of it on 360, just to many QTE's for my liking.

They reduce in frequency as the game progresses and Lara gains more abilities.
Tomb Raider is certainly in my top 3 for 2013. Having it available for download at a reasonable price is certainly tempting me to play the DE and enjoy it again, on the big screen this time. I think I'll wait for the disc version to come down in price a bit though.

Rumours today of a cheaper XBox One this year. Not sure early adopters will be too pleased hearing that after just 3 months of ownership!
I'm presuming they will be ditching Kinect and pricing it alongside the PS4.

As long as the price gets reduced by whatever they're charging separately for kinect I won't be too fussed. If they keep bundling kinect and just lower the price I'd imagine they'd give a free game or two, so as long as that's not Ryse and Angry Birds I'll be ok.
There are rumours of a discless version but I can't see who that benefits other than Microsoft.

The XBox One Thread Pt3 - discuss!
MS can probably afford to sub the XB1 due to amount they rake in as a company. Sony had their rating dropped to junk status. So I doubt they have much leeway. You would think it a no brainer for MS to use that at some point. I am amazed they did not do a price u turn anyway.

A price drop wouldn't bother me too much to be fair - I've had the early adopter fun of having my first ever release day console. That was worth a small premium.
And no one can ever take that day-one achievement away from me. Priceless.

Psychologically going sub £400 i.e. £399.95 would make a lot of sense for the UK. I imagine there are similar price points to be in the same 100s as Sony for other currencies.

£399 without Fifa/Forza isn't really a price drop.
I'd be annoyed if they released a £350 Kinectless version, as I would have bought that.

I don't think we'll see a kinectless version anytime soon
MS won't fall on their sword over it

If they are contemplating price cuts 3 months after release, anything is possible. I might wait till the drop to trade in my PS3...

The price cut will likely take effect post E3 and before people start buying for next Christmas. We're just hearing about it early. So don't hold your breath too much.
As for a Kinect-less XBox One, the whole point of the One for MS is the all in one entertainment package and the fact that you know the Kinect is part of the package, so all XBox One games can take advantage of it. Similarly, there is no iPlayer yet because voice controls are mandated for XBox One apps (and Kinect really makes navigating around and playing media easy). So I don't see it being left out of the box soon. That would really contradict their vision.
