I don't understand what would make someone do that, gouge someone in the eye, and utter scumbag of a thing to do.

It was disgraceful. Agree that it should be a serious ban.

6 game ban. Could, maybe should, have been more. Hopefully he will learn.

Thankfully there are not too many precedents for eye gouging!

I don't know, that's a fairly hefty ban, hard to work out the right punishment. Probably twice as much as punching someone, 2 less than biting or racially abusing them. Probably about right for a first offence

Silly boy and cliche a-go-go but I didn't think he was that kind of player. But they all lost it a bit on Monday. Tbh, some of the tackles were your typical yellow cards but the atmosphere almost made them seem worse.
I only saw it on MOTD and while I may be being naive, I'm not convinced Lamela knew he trod on Fabregas's hand. Talk of him also getting charged (but I've seen nothing as yet).
Given Spurs's historical powderpuff reputation, it was almost refreshing to see some meaty tackles going in!

I'm not so sure. I thought a lot of them lost their cool and three or four could have gone on another day. Very unlike Spurs, and they must have been gutted and fired up by Chelsea, but doesn't excuse it.
If it'd been Costa doing that to Dembele the tabloids would have been having a field day about it.

Another dismal home performance. Can't do it when it counts. Same old Spurs.

Couldn't even take points from Newcastle at home, so I doubt it

I guess it depends on whether Sunderland beat Everton, then Newcastle only have pride to play for. We 'only' need a point. Shame it's come down to a nervy last couple of games.

Everton have been playing really poorly so I can't see anything other than the mackems wining and putting us down. Their crowd will be really up for it. They only need two points from two games to send us down.
We've been telling the players what we think of them all season so what we need to do on Sunday is tell Rafa how much he means to us so he'll stay, fingers crossed. I doubt he will but we have to have faith.

Amazing collapse towards the end of the season. Must be gutting to finish below the old rivals after the last couple of months.
