Finished this last night. Absolutely brilliant. The
epilogue
was the most stunning thing I've ever seen on any console ever. I'm sure some of it was photographic and not actual graphics.
Only 21% of trophies collected. About 15 of those are hidden so I have no idea what to do to get them! Congrats on those who got the platinum. I only got around 30 treasures.

It's a gorgeous game, best out there. Is it me though or are there inconsitances between parts fo the game and it's graphics/fluidity. At first, I thought I'd gotten use to it, but when replaying I felt the graphics were better earlier on. There's less dropped frames on the earlier more graphically amazing parts of the game than the more simple areas. It's almost as if they've spent more time on certain areas. I know it sounds negative but it was just my observation.

There will be a full trophy list online by now. "Uncharted 4 trophy guide"
Yeah I know, but I don't like doing that. I prefer earning my trophies from a natural play through. Always makes it a pain in the arse when a game has a trophy like 'shoot 5 enemies with 5 different weapons whilst rolling and taunting after each one within 10 seconds' or something. It's not like people do that naturally!

You'll love a couple of them in this then! It's those kind of achievements that always stop me from going for all of them. I don't know why I anyone can bothered.
I sold it for £35 yesterday, so am liking it more now that it was the equivalent of a £2.99 rental!
I'm taking this slowly... Just got to the driving round Africa level. The car in mud physics are excellent. This bits basicly far Cry but fun. I've even liberated a tower and used a zip line to get to the bottom.

I finished this the other day, a good solid game that at times looked fantastic. The start was a little slow and I would have dumped the needless prologue and merged the two flashback levels featuring the brothers into one and used that instead. The final boss fight was poor and the game deserved better.
Also I could have done with a change of scene towards the end from some of the island jungle but overall a damn fine game.
I really didn't see the issue with the final boss fight personally.
Having re-played it now I'd say my main very very niggly issues were:
1. The musical score wasn't great. There was one point in the game where a tune kicked in as you're driving the jeep. The tune was good and chilling but it felt out of place and a bit pointless.
2. The open area of the game are sometimes too open with you wondering what on earth to do to progress.
3. While the graphics are revolutionary, I can't help feel it needed a couple more weeks of optimisation to iron out a few framerate issues here and there.
4. The last 6 chapters were too Uncharted 1 for me and slower than the middle section of the game.
It sounds like I'm complaining but i guess if it wasn't for those few little things I'd be perfect.

dodgy framerates are just a thing you'll have to accept while sony push their 1080p schtick.. or upgrade to the neo
Yeah, but this is Naughty Dog here. There were areas where I felt the framerate should drop but it didn't and others where it does and I was confused how it did.

I've just started chapter 7 (escape from the auction) and I'm not feeling it so far. It seems to have taken an age to get going.

Finally completed it at the weekend & it was good overall but definitely lacked in several departments. Technically it has raised the bar for visuals which are truly stunning throughout. The motion-capture especially helped take the storytelling to another level.
Gameplay however showed little improvement over the previous games. Gunplay still doesn't feel that good but at least the enemy AI has got more aggressive with advancing/flanking. Climbing should have got more interesting with the addition of the grappling hook but everything was too telegraphed with no puzzle elements. Too often, the path to progress was too obvious & linear, despite the illusion of larger, more open areas to explore.
The puzzles too seemed fewer & much easier to solve than the previous games. It was good to see they kept the game grounded in reality & avoided throwing in some kind of supernatural element. The "End Boss" section wasn't as annoying as reported but resulted in a rather undramatic low-key finale.
Overall, I'd put it third in the series. The second was definitely the peak for the series. The first was great as it was fresh & new & the third was the least impressive but still had some great individual sequences (Cargo plane & sinking ship)...
I've just completed the bell-ringing bit and had to laugh. You exit the door straight back into the quiet market area, with all the inhabitants completely ignoring that you just made a huge noise and demolished half of their tower.
It's getting better, but I still feel I'm just going through the motions. I think the main problem is that I just don't care that much about the brother and therefore the story isn't as engaging as it could be.
Still, I'm sure it'll get better!

I also finished it on Friday. Must have done 30 tries on the end boss (playing on hard). I was just thankful for the mini checkpoints throughout that sequence!
I'd have liked more puzzle bits but as it all looked so beautiful so I spent time in the photo section too, which is something I don't normally bother with. Need a rest from it before perhaps attempting more trophies.
