What is the right sort of winnings? I've got about £40k invested and managed £225 for the first three months, which seems quite a decent return. Am I just being a bit more lucky than expected?

The annual rate is currently 1.4% but that is split across everyone so you might get more or you might get less.
My investment has stayed the same since last July and if I don't win anything next month my reurn for the whole year will be 1.6% which is pretty decent.

Are you guys checking the MSE Premium Bonds calculator to see if you are being lucky or not compared to what is expected ?

No. Might do that. I suspect that based on the last year, not lucky, but with interest rates as low as they are, I might be wrong!

Obviously depends in how many bonds you but even with the maximum amount, cjanderson's £125 in 2 months and gregb's £150 in 1 month seem quite lucky to me according to MSE
