Very good performance today, great to see the team playing to their strengths again. Swansea as expected were very good in possession and appeared to have the better of the passing for most of the game. As others have said Modric not great, he just doesn't give the team enough going forward as he should imo.

Just after watching MOTD highlights, I don't think its any coincidence that Bale and Spurs play best when he is on the left. Hopefully that's the end of the switching positions nonsense.

Scott Parker was a magnet to the ball in that first half.

Some great performances yesterday and we did seem to have a game plan that considered the opposition for once. Ade gets some stick and his finishing has been inconsistent but his work rate was first class and he deserved his goals. Parker and Modric both had good games after some indifferent form but MoM for me was Kaboul who is starting to look the complete package. I said when we first let him go to Pompey that we’d let a gem go, looks like Harry thought so too! I'm also starting to realise how good a signing Friedal is. Only player below par (again) was BAE
Arsenal have to play Chelsea and Citeh (and Stoke) but otherwise have pretty easy games. Our toughest game is Sunderland away on Saturday but we don’t have as many home bankers as them. Play like yesterday and we should have enough but I can’t see there being much in it!

yeah - Parker had a great 1st half, got a ridiculous amount of blocks in - good to see he's recovering from his bout of Palaciositis.
Bale played well, skinned a fair few of them, BAE had a good game too. Walker was quieter, probably need a well deserved rest

I'd be tempted to give Parker a bit of a rest after the Sunderland game in place of Livermore as he looks pretty run into the ground right now and we need him firing on all cylinders for the semi-final.
You can argue that Adebayor has been wasteful at times but his contribution in 95% of the games is invaluable, really haven't had a forward like him since Berbatov.

Admired his attacking ability all season, quality player.

He has been good but I don't rate him as a player that can take/keep us where we need to be. If we somehow manage to keep Adebayor then I suppose he would do for a utility type squad player if we got him for a decent price. Personally I would prefer Junior Hoilett who I think would be an excellent aquisition and competitor for Lennon on the right or any of the forward positions.
It looks like Krasic will be out of Juve in the summer so we may be in there again, seeing how frail we look without a dedicated right sided player then it could be a high priority.

was pleased to see spurs close down quickly, swansea played well but there wasn't much they could do against some of the best players around.
if the players show that commitment week in week out till the end of the season then we will finish 3rd.

I hope to god Lennon starts today. You could see from the Swansea game just how crucial he is to our set-up. But knowing 'Arry he'll probably start with Livermore and Sandro

Lennon still having hamstring problems according the BBC & Redknapp saying he'll only play one game over the weekend. Which to me suggests he shouldn't be playing at all & saved for Chelsea.

Sandra having a shocker, otherwise it's an ample possession-fest culminating in a misplaced pass. Sunderland looking potentially dangerous on the break.

Far too much sloppy passing. Sunderland are just horrible to watch but they are certainly dictating the game, irrespective of possession. I don't know why we insist on allowing VdV to take all set pieces as they are invariably ****.

Breaking at a snails pace allowing them 10 or 11 behind the ball.
Sandro very shaky passing/possession.
Modric not worth his place, Bale yet again doesn't want to stay wide.
Crowd seem to be reffing this game, how the ref hasn't dished out a yellow or two, we are getting roughed up all over the park.

As he tries to get himself sent off in no-mans land! Should be taken off before this dose of palacios-itis becomes permanent

I've seen people drowning in quicksand run quicker than VdV, and put in a better pass at the end of it. We need him off and Defoe on to have any chance whatsoever. At least that scumbag Cattermole is off so we might avoid any more injuries.

Awful game to watch. Murdered as a spectacle by a Sunderland team with zero ambition. We should have the ability to break down the few anti-football teams left in the Premier League but we were absolutely woeful. Too slow in possession, unable to pass the ball accurately and lacking in desire to win the ball. Dreadful. A point isn't a bad result away from home but the game was a disgrace to football.
Still, irrespective of the impact on our position, I hope Arsenal get 3 points against Man City and destroy their hopes of buying the league for another season
