Received the new kindle for Christmas and really think its a great improvement over my 2g. Love the lighter form factor and the screen is much improved.

Any recommended cases for Kindle Keyboard?
Seems to be quite a few out there.

Got me a Kindle 4 for Christmas, it's lovely. Stuck a bunch of books on there and the first thing I noticed is that the font selection is pretty terrible.
I'm sure this has already been posted somewhere in these Kindle threads, but there is a plugin for Calibre which allows you to use custom fonts without any hacking or jailbreaking of the Kindle: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=118635
Now, can anybody recommend a good serif font to use? I quite liked Book Antiqua, but any italic text comes out very whispy and faint.

Is there any other more wallet friendly light solutions for the non keyboard version? The official case is way overpriced and the smaller form makes clip on lights less practical

I got given this one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/TeckNet%C2%A...4940689&sr=1-6
along with my Kindle at Christmas and I can't complain at all so far. Even got a clip on light which works with it well enough.
EDIT: Actually mine is slightly different, but it's the closest match I can see on Amazon.
DOUBLE EDIT: Aaaand I just realised you're after one for the keyboard Kindle

I've settled on Bookman Old Style for my custom font, it feels even more like reading a real book now.

Just trying to set up my OH's new Kindle (the £90 small one) and have used Calibre to sort them. I've put some of them into collections, but when they're on the Kindle the 'sort by collections' option is greyed out. Does the Kindle not support collections in Mobi format?

I went for this Stand/cover as I prefered the kindle to be raised a bit on my knee and it also feels a bit more comfortable to hold

Ach, I'm quite manly, can hold my Kindle for long periods of time. I don't need a stand.

You need to add the books to collections, it doesn't do it automatically.
You can either click right on a book in the menu and then select "Add to collection" or use something on the computer such as Kindle Collection Manager (Google for it).
