I paid £37 a month for Sky Q for Sport (HD), box sets, entertainment and kids in HD until recently. It was going up to £72 or something and they offered me the same for £40 a month (minus £20 for paused Sports in the meantime) but I binned them in the end.
Parents are terrible for getting decent prices for things like these, and utilities. dunkle, put a reminder in your calendar for 17 months so you can remember to get your folks to phone up for a new discount before their new one ends (they're usually 18 months)

In the last couple of days I’ve noticed a new issue on my Sky box, when changing channels quite often I’ve getting loud short blasts of static sound. The box is connected via the Xbox and has been for years. Could the box be dying?

I don’t like where they’ve moved SyFy...I rarely get into the 140’s let alone the 150’s

Yeah but you can only watch on the main box and one Mini box at the same time with a 1TB box and 2 Mini’s with a 2TB box

You'll likely get more detailed info if you post or search on the SkyQ official forums.

So I can't really get SKY due to poor reception - lots of huge trees between me and the satellite. There is one spot at the bottom of the garden where I can get an OK signal...but that is aiming between trees and of course there is no guarantee I will get a signal next summer as the trees grow.
I've never really thought before about the problems with reception...I wonder why SKY don't look for bandwidth on satellites that are higher above the horizon?
Looks like I'm stuck with NOW TV
cheers all

Wow.
Really unusual that.
Quite why Sky won’t offer a proper IPTV service I don’t know.
Consider paying a independent installer to get a better idea imo.
