i've never had the uk version but i know it was 1080i, this one is an 1080p avc transfer with an average bitrate of 36mps.i thought it looked really good considering the entire film is set in darkness

Are people buying these locked versions to try them out? If so, what do you do with the disk if it won't play on your machine?
