DVDBeaver lists it as region A and AxelMusic as "most likely" to be region free, so quite a bit of contradicting information out there....

Hey something is really strange about "Horton hears Who" Axelmusic states it is region free
http://www.axelmusic.com/productDetails/024543541479

But on Blurayregioncodes.com they say it is LOCKED. So wich site is telling the truth here?

Also X-Files Fight the Future are we sure its region coded. Because i have seen the backcover on it and it doesn't show any region on it. And those that FOX region code have an A on them.

So maybe it is region free?

I didn't think it was a quick process - but it hasn't been done since July!

The Third Man (Criterion Collection) is region A locked. I'm so glad I got my Sony BDP-S300 chipped for multi-region.

As a general rule can you say that if there's no region code on the Blu-Ray box then it'll work in the UK? I looked at the back of a US Dark Knight and couldn't see any "A" on there at all.

Indeed...I had my player chipped many months ago. It's a bit expensive, but well worth the money. My player was picked up by courier and returned within 2 days.

I've been out of the loop for a while in respect of blu-ray multi region.

I want to get my telly first, but a few mates sent me this link today:

http://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/ProductDe...del=DMPBD35EGK

£220 delivered with blu-ray multi-region, no mention of normal DVD multi though.

I've just had a look at that player. Unfortunately, it's DVD multi-region only!! Not Blu-ray Multi-region. If you want the same Panasonic player which does it all, then you're talking £361.
