Bad films you like because you laugh at it
, XX2 the next level, a bad film, but the thing is, some bad things end up being so bad, you end up laughing.
I couldn't stop laughing when Cube tried to pull off some matrix style stunts, just funny in its mess.
Although it was totally rubbish, there was enough explosions and things to keep the dolby digital system working, and watching Ice Cube pretend he's in quality production made me laugh.
Is there a market for stupid action films that you laugh at, there is, because you get fasinated just how everyone involved tried to take the source material seriously.

Anything by Uwe Boll.
Actually, House of the Dead was 1/2-reasonable.
No, scratch that.
Anything by Uwe Boll.

I didn't watch it, my brother and brother in law were, but I kept peaking for a few scenes, and not one scene got me into the film, I tried hard, then went upstairs to check the net for the wicker man remake reviews, and I saw they were all terriable, came downstairs to say to them, it definately was the wrong pick of film, but blockbusters had close for the night, so they couldn't return it.
I found so many of the scenes boring, it was incrediable, like waiting for a film to get better, so I laughed how long I had to wait to get entertained!

Steven Seagal's On Deadly Ground is possibly the most unintentionally funny action film ever made. & that list includes Commando.

Malkovich in Ripley's Game. I keep the DVD around expressly to laugh at it. A ridiculous movie. Dougray Scott is the worst actor in the world.
The Prince double bill:Graffiti Bridge and Under the Cherry Moon are both hysterically bad.

Oh God, yes!
Although while it is hilariously bad in places (& the sight of The Boz in a posing pouch is not easily forgotten ) it does have some superb stuntwork in it.
Why isn't it available on dvd?

will you please tell my wife this - his addition to the Desperate Housewives cast is nearly enough to stop me watching the program
film-wise, only ever seen him in MI:2 - absolutely awful

Just be thankful the Mi:2 filming overran and kept him from being Wolverine in X-men!

The Marine - just got it on a flight - bejeezus it's awful, but had me chuckling for a while.
Basic Instinct 2 - I loved it, thought it was hilarious!
Daisy (Korean/HK co-production) was also so unintentionally amusing it really really hurt.

Hawk The Slayer, anyone? You could play a drinking game based on the amount of times the word 'death' is used (there's loads: the coldness of death, the gates of death, the message of death, the river of death...) plus Jack Palance playing the brother of the hero except for the fact that he is old enough to be his father. Brilliant dreck!

Each to his own, I thought Ripley's Game was very good and that both the actors mentioned were also good in it. Now for a film that is genuinely so bad it's funny I give you the one, the only - LIFEFORCE !!!

Seconded. Saw this at the cinema and the whole audience laughed their way through it. Comedy dialogue, Colin Firth running round shouting "bloody hell", Stephen Railsback calling Patrick Stewart a "bitch", and Mathilde May's prize-winning hooters - it really doesn't get any better than that.
Actually, I'm very fond of the film and would dearly love to see an anamorphic transfer some time soon.
I'll also second Stone Cold which is perhaps more a guilt ypleasure than a "so bad it's good" candidate, but I loved a critic's description of Brian Bosworth as a man with a neck with a larger circumference than his head. Lance Henriksen lends it some dignitas.
The Apple is also a delight - a real dog's turd of a bad musical, highly recommended. Think I had this on my trade thread, and might have to take it off - it deserves further viewings.
Steve
