I'm fed up of waiting though.
Well it's clear from this to see why he's so popular.

I'm undecided on Kimi but am okay with Renault.
I'm unsure about Alonso but cannot stand Ron Dennis / McLaren.
I cheered Fernando on to last seasons championship.
Where does that leave me for next season? Well, thankfully i love Schuey and i love Ferrari, so i should be ok. Particularly with just the Bridgestone-single-tyre-love-in for 07.

I bet you get a much better 'company car' at Ferrari though! Best you could hope for from Renault is the Clio 197 hatchback! As dull as Kimi, therefore a match made in heaven.

Seems to me that Kimi has to decide if he wants to drive in Schumacher's shadow for a while or be the No.1 at Renault.
I bet Ferrari are offering him more money than Renault.

Kimi's ultimately a fantastically fast driver which is why I like him, same goes for Schumacher.
I just can't get the same affinity for Alonso. He seems to have it all his own way for the most part and never really seems to push himself or overperform with what he has to work with, at least from the outside looking in anyway.

All this talk of company cars reminds me of the one and only moment I have ever laughed at something Kimi Raikonnen has said. It was a couple of seasons ago and Raikonnen and a few McLaren colleagues were driving away (I can't recall whether it was from a circuit or an event which the F1 drivers attended, it could even have been after the enquiry into the German GP crash he was involved in).
Raikonnen was driving a black Mercedes A Class and passed Fernando Alonso and a few members of the Renault team walking along the road. While his colleagues waved at the Alonso and the Renault personnel, Raikonnen with razor sharp wit turned to them and in his deadpan monotone (which for once was utterly appropriate) said:
'Maybe they don't get company cars at Renault...'

Christ, if that's funny for Raikkonen I'd hate to hear one of his jokes!
I take it that was an Autosport/Pitpass story?

Ferrari set for Schu-Kimi lineup
"Ferrari are heading towards a dream driver lineup pairing Michael Schumacher alongside Kimi Raikkonen for 2007.
That's the opinion of rival team principal Sir Frank Williams, who scoffed at his counterpart's constant pleas for cost cuts in F1.
''Ferrari have a massive budget and probably a $60m driver bill next year – that's the way it looks,'' Williams told Speed TV.
Hinting at Schumacher-Raikkonen, despite rumours linking the latter Finn with Renault, he added: ''You know what I'm talking about; the two drivers.''
Williams' sneer at Ferrari's finances follows Jean Todt's caution at Indianapolis in signing off an otherwise unanimous agreement to soften the cost-slashing engine 'freeze' rules for 2008.
''They're saying we must save money, we must save money,'' Sir Frank, 64, continued.
''I fell out of my chair when (Todt) said that.''
Ferrari chief Todt admits that Ferrari is holding a full deck of cards in terms of commercial sponsorship for 2007, but commented: ''It doesn't mean that we have to spend money for the pleasure of spending money.''
Williams also suggested that McLaren's Vodafone sponsorship, to commence in 2007, tips the scales at $55 million.
