I thought he'd go to City (Man) - at least by joining Bolton he'll help bring the average age of Sam 'big heed' Allerdyce's squad down!!

I thought he'd gone to man city! Sam was quoted in yesterday's paper saying he couldn't do anything else!

Well hamman's been a great player for us and i wish him the best.
He's possibly one of our most underrated players. Sissoko's emergence has obviously limited his appearances, but he'll be missed.

Bit odd this one, not like LFC to make it official if they're not 100% sure.

It was 100% - the contract was signed but Hamann has backed out it seems like Unsworth did with Aston Villa

Woul've been nice to give him a proper send off like. Will be sorely missed.
Did anyone read in the echo rafa's comments about keeping Bolo Zenden on and using hin in the defensive mid role along with Xabi etc ?

He played centrally for Boro and did quite well from what I remember.
Anyone know if we negotiated a sell on clause when Baros left?

He won't play in that role much when we have Momo for that.

Mate this is looking good. I might go and put money on him being highest scorer in the Premiership now!!!!!!
I can't believe what I read in the interview with Aurelio...
"The manager has said you're an even better passer of the ball than Xabi Alonso. That's some recommendation..."
 WOOOOAHHHHOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Official - Cisse going to Marseille:
"Marseille have confirmed Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has joined them on season-long loan, with an option to make the deal permanent."

bit of an underwhelming tribute to didi from rafa- he was more than a very good player,he was superb and instrumental in our istanbul triumph

Talk I read on a couple of the Liverpool boards was that Robbie has been struggling this preseason with fitness and an injury. He does look slimmer though to me though.

I hope that isn't true John, he said he was feeling really good at the end of last season. If we want the title we need him firing on all cylinders.

So in terms of strikers we've now got Crouch, Fowler, Bellamy and is Le Tallec back?
