Cyberpunk Anime
Apart from Akira and Ghost in the Shell, are there any other quality, intelligent cyberpunk or Sci fi animes

Spiritied Away was a very intelligent cyberpunk anime film imo!

I think LAIN qualifies as cyberpunk. Its got similar themes as GOTS but from a different perspective. No action/explosions really though; its more like a Philip K Dick novel than an action piece. More a study in the ideas of cyberspace/artifical intelligence. Its certainly intelligent if thats what you are after. A cyberpunk Twin Peaks maybe? You watch it trying to suss out what is happening and even at the end... well I'll leave that for you to figure out. Challenging viewing and a complete mind---k.

Cybercity Oedo 808 is still one of my favourites... wish they'd make more episodes of that
