I thought the Groban episode has to be one of the best ever.
I don't mind Phil or Noel and think they work well together.

Looks like the Beeb are finally going to show the Russell Brand episode next Wednesday.
From the Radio Times:
Quote:
Never Mind the Buzzcocks
Wednesday 19 January
10:00pm - 10:30pm
BBC2
series 22
Simon Amstell hosts the comedy music quiz, with guest team captain Russell Brand joining Phill Jupitus, along with Rachel Stevens, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Sway.

russell brand is team captain on this delayed un-seen episode, which airs tonight
so, it's only taken TWO YEARS for the bbc to dare and risk the wrath of the daily hate, by finally showing the episode that russell brand was guest team captain, way back in 2008. this episode was actually due to air the week the sachs-gate farce erupted.

Just seen the clips show and nearly fell off the sofa when I saw him on there..
We saw him live just before Xmas and never have I seen anyone bomb as hard as he did.. and I have seen a lot of female 'comedians'..

Live he's one of the most hit and miss comics I've ever seen. Spent an excruiating hour with him in Edinburgh attempting some bizarre improv thing that was a complete disaster, but also seen him utterly storm a 20 minute set at a club. He was pretty good on Last Comic Standing too.

The brand episode was great. amstell was ruthless with stevens and fernley-whitingstall.

Yep, really really good, can't believe the BBC didn't have the bulls to show it till now. The only thing I can think is because of the Daily Mail comments.

That's pretty much it. It would have only gave them more ammo to attack the BBC with had they shown it.

So are we agreed this was crap then?
The new bland shiny intro was a heads-up for things to come.

Didn't even know it was back on. Jupitus, Louie Spence and Hoff all on the same show doesn't particularly make me want to watch though.
