Excellent episode. One can only imagine what got cut considering some of the stuff that was left in.
Is it me, or is Boyle funnier when he hasn't got a beard?

the beeb probably had the edited material burned as soon as it hit the floor. they still haven't got the balls to show the russell brand episode they filmed last year, before the manuelgate ****storm. so, sadly we'll never see the best bits of boyle from here or mock the week.

Wasn't there a 2nd MtW "Too hot for TV" DVD released recently?
Edit - yep just 31 days ago.

I thought this ep was ****. It felt, as he suggested, like a heavily edited show, and it didn't feel like there was any spark at all.
Why do they bother having people like Boyle on if they're not going to let him go all out, it just looks crap!

(Dr) Who knows, and, I hate to say this but, (Dr) who cares, in my opinion with or without he was pants. Now, the next episode, as you may guessed has me, I would say salivating, but hey, looking good.

wasn't the last one just extended versions of the episodes? meaning it was just the shows with some bits that didn't make the show, essentially what i'm saying is that they're just extended versions of episodes we've already seen and i realise that you've made your point and i'll now shut up.

Frankie Boyle was brilliant, the best of the series so far with Rhod Gilbert second.
Not looking forward to next weeks nerdy **** fest and Catherine Tate is about as funny as a fart in a spacesuit.

I thought Frankie Boyle’s effort was rather poor TBH – possibly because I had high initial expectations. He had some good (apparently off-the-cuff) responses during the show, but some of it just seemed it was designed to shock, but without being either shocking or (more importantly) funny .
Also, WTF was Carol Vordermann doing on the show?? It was rather embarrassing just watching her attempt to be part of any chit chat – like watching your auntie trying to be cool (although, admittedly, I still would – though I’d probably need a few drinks to dull me senses ).
Otherwise, thought the ‘Reverend’ was pretty good value, as was Richard Herring.
Next weeks episode looks truly dire. Every time I see David Tennant doing his ‘intense’/ constipated expression I have an urge to kick the tv. He seems to have an immensely high opinion of his contribution to kid’s sci fi (but that’s a whole other thread). I don’t even need to start on Catherine Tate. .

Thought Boyle was good. Not up to the Rhod Gilbert episode though, but the main reason for Rhod's episode being so good was his interaction with the big fella who he is good friends with.

Frankie just edges Rhos as far as best presenter so far, incidentally, Rhod was interviewed on 5live by Simon Mayo as Mayo asked him if he'd like the job as a permanent position and he said he's love to, and loved presenting the show
(His 'Mince-pie' live dvd is the dogs btw) link
