Pretty poor stuff. Phil looked bored, Noel's surreal stuff worked even less than usual (Slash & the bees?) & the smug nobody in the host's chair was wayyyyy too pleased with himself. Seriously, how does he keep appearing on panel shows? He's ****!

Always nice to see Andrea McLean though, however rubbish at pop quizzes she may be.

quite a good ep. like the host's diggs at the bimbo girl-band member and kanye west's "friend."

jupitus is dead wood and fielding's "surreal" comedy does not suit the quiz show format, plus he's all together too pleased with himself.

So is Jack Whitehall a stand-up comedian (I use the term lightly) ? I've only ever seen him on quiz shows so wasnt sure how he got those gigs ?

Yeah he is Glenn. I saw him and a bunch of others in Balham about 2 years ago. He was fairly funny then but it's probably a tried and tested routine.

He just doesn't seem to have the quick comebacks needed for panel shows/hosting.

I quite enjoyed last nights. Always time for seeing some rapper given a bit of jip! Not a patch on the last series though, and I do agree on Noel Fielding. I like him but he doesnt suit Buzzcocks as a regular.

Thought Frank Skinner did a good job last night. The "Jam or ring" doughnut comeback was brilliant. And the fact he was quizzing Fearne about shagging Robbie was

Agree Rhod Gilbert has been best so far

Was going to say the exact same thing, more of less word for word, but I won't

Frank Skinner's become a bit of an institution I think - he's always funny in whatever I see him in, and he's got an amiable personality that makes me smile even when he's not being funny

Really looking forward to the next episode, I like Claudia, the word unique springs to mind. Could prove very interesting.

Last nights was ok I suppose - Winkleman's alright, but it feels a bit too autocue led for me.

Good episode I thought, Jamelia is always good on Buzzcocks. I liked Winkleman as well. Those two completely carried the show.

The series so far 1st is Rhod Gilbert, Winkleman is 2nd and Skinner is 3rd.

Has anyone looked the wikipedia page for buzzcocks? It's frickin extensive.

The rest of the series pans out like this..

23x07 11 November 2009 Mark Watson Donal MacIntyre, Daniel Merriweather Tim Minchin, Shingai Shoniwa (Noisettes)

23x08 18 November 2009 Martin Freeman Charlie Brooker, Dappy (N-Dubz) Martha Wainwright, Simon Bird

TBC Late December 2009 David Tennant Jo Whiley, Bernard Cribbins Jamie Cullum, Catherine Tate

23x10 TBC David Walliams Gareth Malone, Andy Serkis Basshunter, Josie Long

I'm guessing the David Tennant one is the Christmas (Dr Who?) special.

Yeah the David Tennant one is a Doctor Who special apparently with the full works including the Tardis. Don't think it'll stand up much as a Buzzcocks episode though. Martin Freeman presenting with Charlie Brooker as a guest could be a bit special though.

Disappointed by last night's, just didn't seem as though Claudia let go at any time and was just led by the jokes on the autocues as mentioned. Jamelia was great though, especially how she held her cool with the guy in the line up!
