Fauda (Israeli TV series) with English subtitles
We are going to India in a month and my sister in law has asked for all 3 seasons of the Israeli TV series Fauda with English subtitles on DVD (no blu-ray release yet). Subtitled discs are hard to get and expensive; not available on Amazon and with difficulty from e-Bay but with just over 4 weeks for our departure, I am worried about transit delays and the items not arriving in time.
Does anyone have any advice on other sources (apart from eBay or Amazon) where this might be available?

The SIL has no Netflix, but I get your point.

I got interested in this series as Simon Mayo recommended it on his and Mark Kermodes tv series. I googled it and it appears although it attempts to show balance is it actually Israelcentric. WIll have to watch it as its meant to be on Netflix, only fair I give the other side a chacne after watching a few films like 5 broke cameras showing the Palestinian side (and Joe Sacco's excellent book Palestine).
Thanks for this thread as I had forgotten the name of the programme. It's not exactly memorable, don't know if its a jewish word or someone's name.

Can sign-up for a free Netflix month then cancel? Sounds preferable to the £40 dvd set without ENG subs!

I'll get her to sign up when I get there next month. She is a housewife and her turd of a husband will moan about the additional cost. Netflix is rather more expensive in India.

Probably. Turdy allowed his nice farm to go to seed and now in throes of depression which he is treating with alcohol. Their daughter, who is our goddaughter asked her mother few years ago "What did you see in him?" The girl has now started working and is concerned that her father is going to try and sponge off her.
Turdy is that kind of a guy. I doubt if getting Netflix is anywhere near his priorities.

Eek! Maybe you'll have success in speaking him round ... or staging an intervention!
Good luck with your trip - post some photos if you get the chance, and #staysafe.

LIke the nickname turdy! Hopefully they do a free trial still in India, I hear most countgries still do its just the UK which got stopped (end of last year I believe). I joined this week and all they offered me is the next package up for 1 month.
But then knowing sites like moneysavingexpert perhaps the free month got abused, ie people jsut signing up with different email addresses to get it. Who knows.

So do I. I don't want to wash any more dirty linen in public, but Turdy suits the guy to the hilt. Diver 8, have a drink on me.
