Due to a re-evaluation of our ongoing stance to eradicate piracy from the forums, we have decided to completely restrict the discussion of certain subject matter. This includes:
All discussion of peer to peer (P2P) software (KazzaLite, BitTorrent etc) this also includes links to any bit torrent files.
All discussion of any modchip related material or links to sites which discuss the subject. (We have not allowed this to be discussed on the site for some time now, but are taking this opportunity to reaffirm our position.)
All discussion asking how to backup/copy copyrighted DVDs or convert copyrighted DVDs to other formats.
Discussion of DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink.
Discussion of 'Real Alternative', which we are reliably informed infringes the copyright of the original software vendor.
Discussion of 'Quicktime Alternative', which we are reliably informed infringes the copyright of the original software vendor.
We are well aware that there are perfectly legal uses for P2P software and console modchips, but all too often it is very clear what the majority of members are primarily using it for and that is to use it for activities which are likely to infringe the copyrights of certain businesses and organisations. In order to negate any possibility of legal action being taken against the forums and its owners, we feel that the most viable option is to restrict the discussion of these products completely.
Any breaches of these rules will be dealt with under the
terms and conditions of the site and
Forum Policy
