What classic film would you love to see rereleased in cinemas?

This question just occured to me, having returned from a special showing of 'Once Upon A Time In The West' in London... (bloody good btw)... what classic films would you LOVE to see back in cinemas, on the big screen?

I would say:

Godfather II
Once Upon A Time In America
King Kong (just for the sheer spectacle of it)
Seven Samurai (which is also being shown in London later this month)
Raging Bull

... there are probably many more, but those are the ones that occured to me. Any other thoughts?

In addition to those you've mentioned, I'd go for a mix of dreamy Golden Age movies, sheer spectacle, nostalgia (some I remember from previous cinema visits) and out and out 24-carat classics...

2001: A Space Odyssey
The Wild Bunch
Pat Garratt & Billy The Kid
Singin' In The Rain
The Sea Hawk
The Searchers
Close Encounters of The Third Kind
How The West Was Won
Now Voyager
Frankenstein (1931)
The Curse of Frankenstein
The Big Country

And as you say, 100s more...
So many films, so little time...

Almost any large-format movie in a new 70mm print with stereo sound.

I would like to see a fully restored 70mm print of Zulu with THX sound.

And while your at it I want every Chav in the cinema liquidated by Zulu warriors with Assegai.

Has anyone ever tried to organise screenings of classic films? I'm really impressed by the look of Big Screen Classics that Peter Apruzzese works on and has mentioned over on the HTF. Maybe these things are easier to get off the ground in the States, but I'd be curious to know if something similar has ever been tried over here.

Even with less than pristine prints, seeing movies like North by Northwest, Destry Rides Again, Casablanca and Gone With The Wind on big screens have been some of my best ever nights at the movies.

Wouldn't mind seeing Red River sometime.
