Two "classic" Boxing movies on tonight.

Both at the same time, you have Raging Bull on ITV and on BBC2 you have Body and Soul. If you have already seen Raging Bull then give Body and Soul a try. Or record the BBC2 film for later.

Details here for Body and Soul on the Internet Movie Daterbase.

I was going to post the news about Body And Soul (albeit in the Classic forum) but this thread 'ill do.

Is it any good? I loved John Garfield in Force of Evil.

It's excellent, a part written specifically for him that he played on stage as a young actor, but didn't get round to on film until the latter part of his career. Garfield is brilliant

BTW, Body and Soul... (but it has recently been restored by Paramount, so might want to hang off buying right now...)

Cool! Got my digi-recorder at the ready. It sounds like the Kirk Douglas classic Champion...

...which is also on Paramount's list of Republic films that have been or are going to be restored. I wish they'd flippin' well hurry up and get 'em on DVD...
