Had a Nirvana ticket for Manchester (G-Mex I think it was?).

People said 'hold onto it it will be worth a few bob in a few years'.

But I was a student at the time, so got an immediate refund and went out on the lash .....

Oh, just remembered, there was a Docklands rock festival of some kind that NIN were meant to play at, only when we turned up we found out that they'd had to pull out because the drummer had the ***** and no-one else could play along to the click track. This was back in 2000 or thereabouts, IIRC.

Kind of felt sorry for all the other bands playing (can't remember who any of them were no, except for A Perfect Cirlce), as most people seemed to be taking up the option of ******* off home and getting a refund on their tickets instead of going in anyway.

Blue Oyster Cult at Ingliston in Edinburgh. Got all the way up there on the train as well. It was probably 1980 or so

There was no t'internet in't them days tha' nas. We got there, and there was a notice on the gate, we turned round, straight back to the train station and back home. Mind I copped an adolescent feel later that night, so all was not lost !

Floyd at Earls Court in 94. Gig cancelled due to collapsing seating.

There was a lot of talk that as the band was just coming on stage they wouldn't refund as they had "appeared". Good sense prevailed and they rescheduled -saw them a week later. Excellent gig.

REM at Brighton Poly late 85, not long after Fables of the Reconstruction came out. Still don't know why it was cancelled. They were good then.

White Stripes twice! Once because of Meg being all shy or something, then once when Jack hurt his wikkle finger.

I think I had a ticket to see Zwan and then they split up.
