I notice that United have decided not to take up the option of spending 40 million on Falcao. Probably for the best.

Just glad we had not already bought him in some sort of loan/ transfer agreement. Shame, as clearly a nice guy, but the injury means he is a shadow of the player he once was. Need a younger striker now, esp if RVP is off as well.

Mexico striker Javier Hernandez will return to Manchester United after Real Madrid decided not to exercise an option to buy him after a loan spell.

Well, personally I'd be happy if Chicarito came back to play, providing he gets enough minutes. His attitude is first class and his goals ratio is great. Given his style, he is unlikely to start often, but he is a great impact sub. If Wilson doesn't go out on loan, then he'd learn alot from such a natural finisher.

I'd be far happier if RVP leaves and Chicarito stays. RVP will always be an injury risk, he's aging and won't fit in the likely style of football for the team. Plus, I'll always feel that he cheated the team in the Moyes season, clearly not giving his all and looking to the World Cup.

In all likelihood it's irrelevant as both are likely to be sold. Assuming Depay isn't going to play as a forward, they'll need at least one striker in, possibly two. Still makes the decision to sell Welbeck a strange one - why didn't they just loan him out, like Chicarito?

I'd definitely keep Chicarito ahead of RVP who definitely needs to be shifted out this summer. However, it does partly depend on whether Chicarito is willing to be a bit-part for one more season and then, in all probability, go on a free. He did take on that role at Real (after whinging about his role at United!) so it is a possibility. Rooney, Chicarito and Wilson would need that we need at least one more top class forward in my opinion - I like the links to Benzema but I'm not sure if that is a realistic target, Benteke is also interesting and a beast but his injury record is worrying.

I think you could get Benteke, no problems, but I don't know if he's high profile enough for you.

I think you'll be sniffing around Cavani or someone of that ilk.

He's another Saha. I'd take him though. Falcao has set the bar very low.
