'Total HD' Discs win the war..?

Well, perhaps. Warner Home Video are developing a "Total HD" disc which will also be compatible with both formats. I'm suprised I haven't seen this mentioned on the forum yet.

You have missed this thread then: http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/s...d.php?t=458671

Completely pointless and a waste of time just makes the discs more expensive, forces the consumer to pay for something they don't need and no artwork. A bad idea all round.

It is not a new format more like HD DVD on one side and BD on the other.

This was bound to happen, a third format swoops in and takes over. It's the only way.

Nope,

"In a presentation executives said the prices of the discs would not be materially different from single-format discs and that the dual-format discs could be made dual-sided as well as single-sided."
