Ouch. But then seeing as Philips copied Planes, Trains and passed it off as Due Date I guess this isn't THAT surprising. Still, it's a real shame as this was my most anticipated comedy of the year so far.

I think it is the disappointment factor mainly. It's almost like it couldn't go wrong (copying the first film) and yet it completely has.

I suppose the brilliance of the first film was that most of what happens comes out of left-field, almost totally random. Using the same device twice is never going to have the same impact.

I'll still grab a viewing, but not expecting much given the broad consensus of most reviews.

Yeah that is definitely the problem. Wouldn't have been an issue if they just followed the same structure, but they get lazy and follow the same twists as well albeit with tiny alterations.
