Apart from carrick 2.0, surely the defence has to be the priority?

We haven't had a decent midfield for years & one of the reasons we didn't score in the last three games was no decent midfield (plus the silly changes) however I will agree we need a better defence.

Our defence is shot to pieces.

The midfield will have 5 from mata, Herrera, Carrick, carrick 2.0, depay (assuming bought as a winger and not a striker) , nani, young, Di Maria, fellaini, januzaj.

I'd like to see at least 3 defenders brought in. clyne, hummells +1

Definitely a pen. Incredible there's any debate.

Appalling dive from puncheon there. Very poor refereeing. It's a pen or a yellow.

Just like the two Palace should have had this half so far

Lol. So bitter.

No argument with the free kick, and great goal.

Not bitter at all. The Puncheon penalty was the clearest penalty of the season.

You're a joke. If it had been Young you'd have exploded. A definite dive.

Should be losing. Awful second half performance. No flow or rhythm. Just awful.

Puncheon made a lot of it but a definite pen for me. Great game to watch either way.

Just got in from an Indian meal in Spain & we score... 1-2. How have we been playing?

Seriously? He seemed to deliberately leave his leg out to have it caught a la Young. I'll have another look but definitely looked like a dive to me.

Fellaini really earns his place these days.

Didn't quite deserve that, but I'll take it. Hopefully Chelsea will win tomorrow and put fourth to bed.

You have to keep De Gea...he needs to be the lynchpin of your defence.

His reactions are ridiculous.

Real look like they'll lose more ground to Barca today, so I expect the press to ramp up a transfer even more.

£45m seems ridiculously cheap. We paid almost half that and he's pretty much the best young goalkeeper in the world. Got to be worth a hell of a lot more than the likes of Di Maria.

Straight swap with Bale at the very least.
