Hoping the race weekend goes ahead ok without the typhoon causing problems. Its was 5 years ago since Jules Bianchi died due to the terrible weather, does not seem that long ago that it happened.

If qualifying cannot happen, they are using the FP2 standings to set the grid they said (as there will be no FP3).

The F1 2019 Thread

Lap 7 and no news yet on Vettel’s jump start? Edit: fine apparently

LeClerc took Verstappen out but nothing doing. Edit: now under investigation after being cleared initially, now to be reviewed after the race

Ferrari managing behind the scenes very well today

Rather struggling with how exactly a 10 second penalty is deemed adequate for ignoring instructions to pit with an unsafe car. It could easily have gone into Hamilton's cockpit or hit his helmet rather than knocking off his mirror.

After he ignored the implied black & orange flag, which wasn't shown as Ferreri already said they would pit him, then frankly the FIA should have shown the black flag. Leclerc wasn't in a position to judge whether his car was dangerous, and Ferrari should have been firm that he was to come in regardless.

I very much agree here. I also wonder if Hamilton would be given some benefit if was underweight at weigh in with car due to missing bodywork?

You see drivers looking at other cars all the time when parked after the race, especially Vettel. Never seen him actually touch them though.

I remember back in the day someone was criticised for picking up another driver and giving them a good look in the cockpit. I'm guessing it was either Hill or Mansell

This could be a very interesting time. FIA seems to be unable to make any decisions right now, so who knows if they will do anything on either.
