Please... I hope you are not suggesting they got Avery Brooks to star in this? He's better than that.

US premiere date is January 23rd (I'd expect the next day for the rest of the world).

Looks ok I guess. Still hard to know what it's going to be about.

Good to see 7 of 9 in it. Always liked that character.

I also notice Data has discovered how to make implants to make himself look a bit fuller in the face....

Before Discovery I would have been so psyched to see this.

Now I'm having trouble even being cautiously optimistic.

Hope they surprise me.

Still feels nothing like Star Trek.

And this 25% difference thing is ridiculous, Data 25% plumper with a bad syrup, Riker in a pinny tied to the kitchen sink.. oh the humanity

And the Romulan ship; hard to believe they are still using that same design after all these years.

The uniforms look like cheap cosplay nock-offs; you could get two arms in those cuffs and the collars are to tall. But thats 25% for ya.

The trailer looks fantastic, looks like they've got something special on their hands. Very excited!

More optimistic about this than STD s3, its still the Jar Jar Abrhams style of ST but they better not crap over the characters that the fans love

I agree about deep space nine, I liked it better than the next generation which I always found a little po-faced. I also liked Babylon 5 and don't see why you can't. As for tng vs deep space nine its a huge galaxy so of course stuff will happen that isn't on the Enterprise and the Enterprise isn't the only ship. Discovery bored me gave up after a couple of episodes of series 2. The trailer for this doesn't look good and, while I don't want to sound agest, they are taking a big risk making the show round the character with a 79-year-old actor. Why not explore Picard as he started in star fleet as they did with the show Endeavor showing how Morse became Morse.

No, no, no! No bloody prequels I have no interest in seeing a younger Picard. You might as well start a new crew of your going to do that. Move the time love forward.
