Nice to see appearances from 'Who' veterans Clive Swift and the great Geoffrey Palmer.

Hmmm really not sure this Billie idea is a good one. The show became too hung up on their relationship to the point where it was detrimental to the character of Rose Tyler herself (who turned from best companion evah in S1 to an irritant in S2).
I thought the conclusion of Doomsday was the perfect way to end that particular chapter in Who's history, and emphasised the point that the Doctor's journey is invariably a lonely one. I also don't think it's any coincidence that S3's rise in quality over S2 was because that particular storyline had run its course.
Regardless, it's happening now and I'm sure it'll be a ratings winner. I'm sure there's more they can do with Rose, but I just hope it's handled better than the return of Captain Jack, who might as well have not appeared in any of those last episodes at all for all the contribution the character actually made to the stories.

Not only was it detrimental to Rose, I think it was also detrimental to Martha as well because she spent the entire third series believing that she was "second best" because for some bizarre reason RTD and the team decided that the Doctor should be seen to be missing Rose. What makes Rose any better than all of the previous companions that the Doctor has had, Rose is really nothing special and there have been companions who imho have been much better than her.
So I guess you could say that I am not that enamoured by the news that Rose Tyler will be returning in Series 4, the show really needs to move on, but it won't do so as long as they keep on harking back to the past and a companion who was only wonderful during Series 1, but turned into one of the most annoying characters in Series 2.

Series Four, which went into production in July 2007, will hit UK screens in Spring 2008, followed by a special episode for Christmas 2008.
In 2009 Doctor Who will return with three specials starring David Tennant, with Head Writer, Russell T Davies.

Will be nice to see Rose back although it does seem a bit soon after being told that they could never meet again - and does it mean the whole annoying family returning?
I also have this slight fear of dread that RTD will try to 'top' his season finale's by chucking the Doctor, Martha, Rose, that annoying Tate bint, all their respective families, 2 Million daleks, 11 Billion toclafane, 1000 Cybermen, The Master, Captain Jack, Sarah-Jane, K-9, Santa Claus, God, The Devil, The Master, Bonnie Langford all in the mix!
He's a good writer when the mood takes him but the word 'restraint' is not in his dictionary.

The end of season 4 is going to be just one giant love REMOVED - swearing is against the rules that ends with Rose bricking into the Doctors mouth.

Looks like the "Doctor Light" will be number 11, so this could be part of a 3 part final as last year?
Here's a picture of Tate (Donna) from the filming:
Looks like she could be wearing Jack's coat & his vortex manipulator. Maybe she has jumped across into Roses world?
The coat also looks wired up - a bomb? a timey-wimey device?
The amount of filming Tate is doing in the Doctor Light episode would suggest there could also be a Donna Light episode (which will please some of you), as this episode is being being double banked (2 filmed at the same time) with another one.

They were filming all that just down the road from me, so I popped over after work to watch the filming but they'd all cleared off. Arse. I will get to see them filming one day, oh yes ... a work colleague (they live near the filming location) said their fiance saw a dalek there during filming, but I'm not convinced.
