There’s new footage just recently found by the Italians that isn’t on the current disc.

The beating of Tuco is still missing some scenes due to poor quality negatives not suitable for broadcast. No doubt it will be discovered later for an extra special edition. I want to buy 'Once upon a time in the West' but will it be the full uncut special edition or will new material be 'discovered' next year for a new edition! I never got the full uncut editions of 'Fistfull of dollars" or "For a few dollars more" because I know they are still cut but I got 'Good, Bad ect' very cheap and I'll stick with it till a future fuller version comes out. Sorry to rant guys but were being shafted with regular re-releases of even more uncut or better quality DVD's more and more. How much is the OOP Anchor Bay Django worth now.

One of the people at Paramount Germany sometimes posts on www.areadvd.de
He stated that the DVD will definitely be released this year, that it will have the English soundtrack and that there will be extras.

As someone said already, they discovered more footage, we shall see which version of the picture is better.
