I bought this before Christmas really cheaply - Ł6.99 I think - and hadn't got around to watching it. I love Morricone's scores and had heard the soundtrack long before seeing the film.
Yesterday I got around to watching it for the first time...and all the extras. What a great film. Beautifully shot and emotionally jarring/touching at times too. Fonda's opening scene, the closeup on Bronson in the last duel leading to the flashback...hairs on the back of the neck stuff.
The extras were really interesting too - I also thought the "3 documentaries" were really 1 cut into 3 bits (especially as the end credits only appeared at the end of the 3rd one...). The "then and now" pictures were interesting too. Just read the review at the top if this thread - an excellent guide to the discs if anyone still needs persuading.
I can't believe I was able to pay such a low price for it when so much dross costs a lot more!
